In 1994, he won the Marata Children's Award, in 1998, he won the Foundation's "Scientific Research" Koradi Award, in 2006, he won the Liley Medal of the International Association for proposing "fetus as a patient", in 2012, he won the Golden Medal of the Bangladesh Obstetrics and Gynecology Association, and in 2008, he won the Obstetrics and Gynecology Award of the European Perinatal Medical Association in Istanbul.
Professor Gian Carlo is the editorial board member of many international magazines, has published more than 1200 papers, and has participated in the compilation of more than 80 books. He has been invited to give speeches at more than 1500 international and national conferences in more than 110 countries and is proficient in English, Spanish and French.

The director of lifelong perinatal and reproductive medicine of Florence International and European schools, the member of WHO's "Steering Committee on Maternity and Perinatal Health", the vice president of the World Association of Perinatal Medicine, the secretary general of the International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The Secretary-General of the Italian Association of Perinatal Medicine, the Executive Director and Chairman of the European Association of Perinatal Medicine and the Education Committee, the founding members of the World Association of Perinatal Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the International Association of Perinatal Medicine, the Chairman of the Italian Association of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the members of the Ultrasound Society in more than 10 countries, including Argentina, Russia and Spain, have been employed as honorary professors by nearly 20 universities in more than 10 countries and regions.
